World Human Rights Day

Dec 10, 2024

World Human Rights Day celebrates the proclamation by the UN National Assembly on 10 December, in 1948. It was the first global acknowledgement of human rights and one of the significant achievements of the United Nations.

It states everyone, no matter their race, colour, religion, gender, language, beliefs, nationality, or background, has the basic rights and freedoms they deserve as a human being.

These rights need to be safeguarded, especially in times of turmoil.
