It was a wondrous experience of enchantment and delight for our foundation children. The students were stunned and amazed at the art form. It was a beautiful experience for all the children.

Dreamer and the Rainbow Tiger is a new development in Dream Puppets' black light puppet theatre Dreamer series ( Dreamer, Dreamer in Space, Dreamer in the Deep). The story is one of hope, imagination and friendship during challenging times and was inspired by the recognition of creative resourcefulness humans can draw upon during difficult and limiting circumstances.

Synopsis
It has been raining heavily outside for days and days now. Dreamer has been playing inside the bedroom but longs for more adventures and a friend to share them with.

When the rain eases a glorious rainbow appears, from which a Rainbow Tiger emerges. Dreamer and the magical tiger become friends and as they play together they create and unveil a wondrous universe. Dreamer And The Rainbow Tiger celebrates how we can use our imaginations to solve difficulties and share experiences with new friends.

Style of Puppetry:
The style of puppetry is black light combined with other lighting and experimental colour effects, scrims, and manipulation of scale creating a detailed and vivid three dimensional world.
There is no spoken dialogue. The story is told visually with the support of original soundtracks created especially for the Dreamer productions by Melbourne composer, John Grant. The performances use black light and rod puppets within an enclosed booth. Although the puppeteers are completely invisible, the puppets and props glow under the blacklight, resulting in a magical and convincing illusion.

Teachers' notes with follow up activities and puppet designs are available upon booking.
