Mike and Teddy's Litter Awareness Show
Adventure Kids Entertainment
Mike and Teddys Litter Awareness Show (suitable for children aged 4 to 8)
Mike the Lifeguard and special guest Teddy the Turtle (talking Turtle puppet) take the children on a journey and share their experiences of the impact litter has had on the environment, including in our parks, waterways and oceans. Using story, song and dance, Mike and Teddy educate children on understanding how litter travels from our parks, to our rivers and to our oceans and introduce interactive activities designed to be engaging and informative.
We also encourage children to share their stories and to contribute in a meaningful way to reducing litter by understanding how our reliance on single use plastics is contributing to the littering problem.
The children will participate and contribute to 3 interactive activities, such as finding broken down pieces of litter using a magnifying glass to highlight how marine animals can mistake plastic for food, creating a plastic free picnic basket and an activity that simulates an ocean environment filled with litter which highlights the impact it has on marine animals. Each child will receive a colouring in/activity sheet designed to test what they have learnt from the show.
